My practice incorporates writing, photography, moving image and sound and is an investigation into the notion of human condition in relation to the immediate and global context. I am intrigued by the relationship between our perceived cinematic and theatrical reality, and our perceived everyday reality, and their co-existence. I look at the human figure as a particle of those mechanisms.

Rooted in studies of film and theatre theory my work often incorporates (re)enactment or (re)recording combing factual and fictional material. A non-linear narrative may be based on overheard conversations, found text and scientific facts, as well as own writing. The overt distinction between factual and fictional is concealed from the viewer.

Recently my work acquired a performative aspect. Several videos including ‘Dialogues’ were recorded in ‘live’ mode. The shoot was overtly exposed to the public and formed part of the work, thus splitting the viewers’ experience between the ongoing production and the final outcome.
